Clint Eastwood, 85, has been known to do goofy things during big public appearances. Maybe that’s why they keep trotting him out.

Through the magic of television, Eastwood will appear on Spike TV’s “Guys’ Choice 2015” awards show on Saturday, but his joke about Caitlyn Jenner will not.

During taping for the show, Eastwood was poking fun at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and cracked that the athlete-turned-actor reminded him of others like “Jim Brown and Caitlyn somebody …”

“We will remove the reference in the version that will air,”

David Schwarz, Spike TV senior vice president of communications, told USA Today.
