Andrew Shaw spent his All-Star break riding down the mountains

Over the weekend, the NHL world was focused in on Nashville and All-Star weekend. Andrew Shaw, however, was more concerned with the Rocky Mountains.

The Blackhawks’ scrappy forward went on vacation during the team’s break, spending the time with his girlfriend Chaunette Boulerice in Breckenridge, Colorado.

Blackhawks fans may not love the idea of Shaw risking injury during the break, especially while not wearing a helmet, but he wouldn’t be the fan favorite that he is if he was concerned with such things.

While he was able to get away from the game a little, Shaw was clearly still watching the events in Nashville. During the NHL All-Star Game, Shaw threw in his vote for the game’s MVP.

Shaw may want to stay out in Colorado and just wait for his teammates to join him. The Blackhawks play the Avalanche to start the back half of the season Tuesday.
