Anthony Rizzo extends his home run streak with a seventh inning blast

Pitchers may want to be a little more careful when they pitch to the Cubs first baseman. Anthony Rizzo is playing lights out over the last few days and now has a home run in each of the last three games.

Rizzo extended the streak in the seventh inning of the Cubs game against the Milwaukee Brewers Friday night. The shot reached the first row of seats beyond the bullpen in right field, to extend the Cubs lead to 4-1.

While he earned an All-Star spot for his play in the first half of the season, Rizzo is on a roll of late. The slugging first baseman hit a home run both Thursday night in the win against Milwaukee and Wednesday in the win against Colorado.

The Cubs offense has gone into a bit a slump with the young players still finding their groove. Rizzo has also struggled since the All-Star break, but his performance the last few days may show a change in the near future.
