Bears wide receiver Marquess Wilson will not play Sunday against the 49ers, the team said Friday, because of a foot injury suffered earlier this week.
Wilson was the only player ruled out. He hurt his foot on the final play of Wednesday’s practice.
Tight end Zach Miller, who has a ribs injury, was the most high-profile of the Bears’ questionable players. The others included wideout Eddie Royal (knee), safety Antrel Rolle (knee) and Bruce Gaston (illness). Quarterback Jay Cutler had an illness Friday, but is probable.
Wilson had played in all 11 games this season, recording 28 catches for 464 yards and one touchdown.
Coach John Fox said his team was used to picking up the slack for injured players right now.
“The reason they’re on the 53-man roster is because we think they’re good enough,” he said.
