Hall of Famer Billy Williams gets the honor of throwing out the ceremonial first pitch before the Cubs play host to the San Francisco Giants in Game 1 of the National League Division Series on Friday night.
The Cubs announced who will be handling the ceremonials duties during Game 1 at Wrigley Field, and the club is honor its past — and Chicago’s.
Former Bears coach Mike Ditka will make the “Play ball!” call. Ex-Cubs pitchers Kerry Wood and Ryan Dempster will be handling the “singing” of the seventh-inning stretch.
First pitch is scheduled for 8 p.m.
