The beauty of Charles Barkley is that he—like all of us—is humanly flawed; nothing is scripted or contrived.

Appearing Friday on “The Dan Patrick Show,” Barkley was asked why Magic Johnson’s name rarely comes up in the “greatest of all-time” discussion.

“My top five are MJ, Oscar, Russell, Kareem and Wilt,” Barkley said. “Then I have Kobe, LeBron, Elgin Baylor, Jerry West and Magic and Bird. That’s my top ten … or eleven.”

Barkley’s greatest power forward of all-time, Tim Duncan, must be No. 12.

Barkley also told Patrick that if Kobe Bryant and Shaquille O’Neal had remained together, they “realistically could have won close to ten championships.”
