The College Football Playoff selection committee spoke loudly on Tuesday.

Defending national champion Florida State can’t have liked it. Ohio State and Baylor had to have hated it.

Upshot: the new top four — No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Oregon, No. 3 TCU and No. 4 FSU — will be the playoff four as long as they all win on Saturday. Read more
