According to FanGraphs.com, the Cubs have a 96.2 percent chance of making the playoffs, 91.1 percent as a wild card and a slim chance as divisional champ.

Currently 21 games over .500, the Cubs are given a 25.2 percent chance of getting past the NLDS, 12 percent shot at winning the NLCS and a 6.3 percent probability of winning their first World Series since 1908.

After a July 28 loss to Colorado, the Cubs’ playoff hopes were at 41 percent, the lowest since April 10, according to Baseball Prospectus. But after winning 20 of their last 24 games, the Cubs have all but locked up a playoff berth.
