Cubs write ‘late pass’ to fan’s boss

Even with the Cubs game starting at 9:15 p.m. CT fans want to watch. But for fans who have to work early in the morning, it’s hard to stay up.

One fan proposed an idea to help him stay up and watch the Cubs play the San Francisco Giants on the West Coast.

Bill Schultz doesn’t want to miss a pitch of the Cubs, who have won five straight and 20 of the last 24 games.

The Cubs Twitter account decided to help Schultz with his problem and wrote his boss a “late pass.”

Hopefully, Schultz’s boss is a Cubs fan and understands the issues fans face when the Cubs head to the West Coast. In fact, this won’t be the last late game for the Cubs during their six-game road trip. Two of the next three games start at 9 p.m. Central or later.
