Edwin Jackson continues to prove he’s not so great at getting out of jams.

The Cubs pitcher was a late scratch to start Tuesday’s game against the A’s after he got stuck in a traffic jam in Mesa.

Blake Parker made the start in his place.

Jackson arrived at the park before the game started but did not have enough time to warm up. He was later slated to come on in the second inning.

The Cubs’ $52 million man is battling for the fifth spot in the rotation this spring along with Travis Wood.
