Jake Arrieta participates in spoxing class at Wrigley Field during his day off

After Cubs pitcher Jake Arrieta threw his no-hitter on Sunday, he went from a household name to superstar status in Chicago. But that doesn’t keep him out of the social spotlight.

During his day off, Arrieta attended a charity event at Wrigley Field called “Spoxing for Chairty.” The Spoxing class is a mixture between spinning and boxing, and Arrieta was spoxing among all the participants at Wrigley on Thursday.

Arrieta was probably trying to burn off his late night meal from Wednesday. After the “Respect the Main Event” charity party, Arrieta went to a Chicago restaurant for a rib eye steak at 11:30 p.m.

Arrieta wasn’t the only member of the Cubs family to attend the spoxing class at Wrigley. Manager Joe Maddon, his wife Jaye and Kris Bryant’s girlfriend Jessica Delp were there.

The Cubs continue their home stand on Friday as they play a three-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
