Jay Cutler: New baby ‘cooperated’ with good timing

Jay Cutler’s new daughter has good timing.

“It could’ve been worse,” the Bears quarterback said Tuesday with a smile. “She cooperated a little bit for us.”

Cutler’s wife Kristin Cavallari gave birth to daughter Saylor James on Monday afternoon. Cutler returned to Halas Hall on Tuesday, joking that he’ll be able to manage his time well at work and at home. The Bears play the Packers on Thursday.

“Luckily, Kristin has done about 99 percent of it,” Cutler said. “My 1 percent, I don’t think is really going to drag me down that much.”
