Jeremy Morin was just traded again

OK, Jeremy Morin really needs to negotiate a no-trade clause into his next contract.

The former Blackhawks-turned-Blue Jackets-turned-Blackhawks forward was traded for the fourth time in little more than a year today – two days before the NHL trade deadline.

The 24-year-old has now been traded five times during his brief NHL career.

Toronto acquired Morin from Chicago on January 3 and sent the left wing to San Jose today along with goalie James Reimer in a deal that netted forward Ben Smith, goalie Alex Stalock and a conditional fourth-round draft choice in 2018.

Just last summer, Morin came to Chicago in the swap that sent Brandon Saad to Columbus – six months after the Blackhawks traded him to Columbus in exchange for defenseman Tim Erixon.

And all of this came only after Morin was traded from Atlanta to Chicago back in 2010.

This guy will be afraid to a buy a house until he’s 40.

In 82 career NHL games, Morin has 10 goals, 12 assists and a plus-8 rating. Here’s hoping San Jose is his last stop.
