Former White Sox slugger Jim Thome has had a Hall of Fame career in the MLB, but his storied legacy is about to get another chapter.

According to Tribe Vibe, Highway HJR0090 in Peoria , Ill., will be called Jim Thome Way. The renaming of this two-mile stretch of road was passed unanimously among lawmakers.

Thome was drafted by the Cleveland Indians in 1989 and endured a 22-year career in professional baseball. He’s also hit a whopping 612 home runs in his lifetime as a pro.

He received a statue of his iconic batting pose at Progressive Field in August 2014.
