With the Trail Blazers quickly erasing a double-digit Bulls lead, things got heated between the Bulls and Portland.
The Bulls had the ball and a one-point lead with less than five minutes to go when Jimmy Butler attempted to set a screen on Trail Blazers big man Mason Plumlee. The two had been involved in physical play earlier in the game, but things got ugly when Plumlee charged into the screen.
In retaliation for Plumlee’s aggressive play, Butler appeared to lock up Plumlee’s leg, sending him to the ground. Butler was the first to get up and quickly walked toward Plumlee shouting. The two players, who are separated by four inches, got nose to nose as teammates swarmed.
We’ve got action. Butler and Plumlee. Got tangled up. Butler went directly after the Dukie

The rough play resulted in a technical foul called on Butler and a flagrant foul on Plumlee. The Trail Blazers hit their lone free throw and Butler hit both of his.
The play was reminiscent of the Bulls playoff game against Washington when Butler got into it with Wizards forward Nene.
