Could an all-Gasol front court become a reality in Memphis?

According to NBC, Grizzlies center Marc Gasol told Spanish outlet Europa Press that he’ll try to woo brother Pau Gasol to Memphis once Pau’s time in Chicago comes to an end.

Marc just agreed to a five-year, $110 million deal with Memphis, and Pau can opt out of his three-year deal with the Bulls following the upcoming season.

“It’s not impossible that one day we could play together,” Marc said, via the Europa Press. I think he has two more years in Chicago and I think it’s difficult that he would leave the team, I wouldn’t like it. But for us, and for Memphis to add someone like Pau, it would be unbelievable. We will try. Why not?”

Marc averaged a career-high 17.4 points and 7.8 rebounds this past season while Pau averaged 18.5 points and 11.8 boards.

The brothers both started the 2015 all-star game but for opposite sides.

At least six sets of brothers have played for the same NBA team at the same time, according to hoopsvibe.com.
