Matt Forte weighs in on Patriots tactics

Although there has been further developments in the New England Patriots’ Spygate scandal, Bears running back Matt Forte said the team took its latest meeting with New England with a business-minded approach.

In a video call with Sports Illustrated Now, Forte explained how Chicago game planned against a Pats team that beat the Bears 51-23 in Week 8 of the 2014 season.

We approached it like a regular game. I don’t think there was anything to try and hide from if people were in the hotel doing walk-throughs. I don’t think there was any cameras, people trying to snoop around or anything like that, because we had security around the team. At the end of the day, you still have to go out there and play. Each player has to play. Whether there is a change of the ball or watching film, it comes down to making plays on the field.

The Bears will not play the Patriots in 2015. The team opens it’s regular season Sep. 13 at home against the Packers.
