PITTSBURGH — There was so much Notre Dame got wrong here Saturday night — scant production from their interior scorers, overall field-goal droughts of nearly six minutes in the first half and seven minutes in the second — that it’s a wonder the Irish aren’t heading home for a long, lonely spring.
