Report: Alshon Jeffery expects to return next week

SHARE Report: Alshon Jeffery expects to return next week

On Sunday afternoon, the Bears offense seemed to completely bottom out. They punted on every possession and barely even attempted to throw the ball down field.

With both Jay Cutler and Alshon Jeffery out with injuries, the impotence on offense isn’t a surprise. However, the Bears may get at least one of their offensive guns back by next week.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Seth Markman, Jeffery expects to return.

Getting Jeffery back wouldn’t fix all of the Bears offensive woes, but it definitely can’t hurt. Even at less than 100 percent, Jeffery is far and away the best receiver on the Bears.

The Bears return to Chicago on Sunday to face a resurgent Oakland Raiders team. The Raiders went on the road to beat Cleveland this week. The Browns were the first team this season not to score at least 30 points against Oakland.
