The Bears have a 17.4 percent chance at the No. 1 pick

The Bears have a 17.4 percent chance at landing the top pick in next year’s NFL draft, at least according to sports analytics site numberfire.com.

With no lottery, the top pick is given to the team with the worst record at the end of the season. Only the Titans and Lions (one win each) have fewer wins than the Bears (2-5).

The Browns, Ravens, Chargers, Jaguars, Cowboys and 49ers each also have two wins.

The Bears haven’t had the first overall pick since 1947, when they selected halfback Bob Fenimore from Oklahoma State.

He played in only 10 games for Chicago.

The only other time the Bears held the top pick was 1941, when they selected Michigan Heisman Trophy-winning halfback Tom Harmon.

Ohio State defensive end Joey Bosa, Mississippi offensive lineman Laremy Tunsil and California quarterback Jared Goff are among the top 2016 draft-eligible players, according to CBS.

The draft will return to Chicago for the second-consecutive year after a long run in New York.
