The White Sox have two Cactus League games left, but maybe they should head north now.

Tyler Saladino got hit by a pitch on the left wrist Monday, and Jake Petricka took a line drive off his right pitching hand. Saladino’s X-rays were negative, and Petricka had his hand wrapped and was going in for X-rays but didn’t think it was serious.

Carlos Rodon, who will start the season on the disabled list, was getting a second opinion on his left biceps. Even with a positive evaluation, “I wouldn’t think we’d try to ramp him up quickly,’’ manager Rick Renteria said.

First HRs for Frazier, Cabrera

Todd Frazier, who hit 40 homers but only .225 last season, is trying to hit more to the right side to get his average up again. So he wasn’t worried about not having a home run before he pulled a changeup against Andrew Istler for his first long ball of the spring. “It shows I’m in the right place,’’ Frazier said.

Switch-hitters Melky Cabrera and Yolmer Sanchez also homered right-handed, Cabrera’s against lefty Hyun-Jin Ryu.

Frazier’s favorite thing about this game, though, was seeing teammates running out routine ground balls, and Avisail Garcia grounding to the right side after Frazier doubled, setting up Matt Davidson’s sacrifice fly. “Playing it the right way,’’ Garcia said.

Dutch

Derek Holland gave up two runs in the first, then went five scoreless innings in his final start of the Cactus League. He’ll face the Brewers in an exhibition game Saturday. James Shields will pitch Friday.
