A 28-year-old man was shot in the back following an argument Sunday night in the Austin neighborhood on the West Side.
About 10:45 p.m., the man was arguing with another male in the 4900 block of West Chicago Avenue, police said. The man was then shot in the back by the other person.
The victim ran away to the 600 block of North Lavergne, where he later collapsed, police said. He was then taken to Stroger Hospital, where he is listed in serious condition.
No one is in custody, police said.
