Just in time for the holidays, Garrett Popcorn is popping up at a grocery store near you.

For the first time in the Chicago company’s 71-year-history, Garrett’s popcorn will be sold at area food and liquor stores. Four new varieties/recipes only will be making the transition from the Garrett stand-alone locations to Big Apple Finer Foods in Lincoln Park, Binny’s Beverage Depot and Potash Markets downtown, as well as suburban locations of Sunset Foods and Pete’s Fresh Market.

The popcorn will be coming soon to Berkot’s, Heinen’s, Standard Market in Westmont, Hyde Park Produce and Butera. (Call ahead to your local grocer to make sure they’re already stocking the items.)

  • Simply Strawberry - real strawberries and white caramel deliver a bright crunch
  • Simply Cocoa - real cocoa powder and caramel deliver a sweet/salty crunch
  • Simply Matcha - real green tea powder from Japan and caramel deliver a creamy crunch

“With more people staying at home this holiday season and beyond, shoppers are looking to refresh the snack options in the kitchen cupboard,” said Adrienne Kardosh, senior vice president of marketing. “Fans have been asking Garrett to make an item for grocery stores, and now, more people have more opportunities to enjoy Garrett Popcorn when the cravings strike.”
