High school and college seniors with cancelled graduations still have a chance to wear their cap and gown to celebrate their milestone — with a sweet bonus.

Krispy Kreme announced its “2020 Graduate Dozen” promotion, which includes a box of a dozen doughnuts for free. The free offer, however, is only available on May 19 to high school and college seniors.

To claim a free box, high school or college seniors need to head to a Krispy Kreme store, wearing their cap and gown with 2020 tassel. If students don’t have a cap and gown, they have the option to wear class of 2020 apparel such as a 2020 senior letterman jacket, or wear a 2020 class ring.

Students can also bring their 2020 student ID showing senior status or their graduation announcement and matching ID.

“Moms, dads, friends and family can buy this ‘Graduate Dozen’ all week long to honor their favorite graduates, but only seniors can get one for free,” the official announcement stated.

The doughnut maker’s “Graduate Dozen” box will be available for purchase by everyone the week of May 18 through May 24.

The special box contains the following varieties:

  • Chocolate Iced Kreme Filled, filled with classic Kreme, dipped in chocolate icing and decorated with a “2.”
  • Strawberry Iced Kreme Filled, filled with classic Kreme, dipped in strawberry icing and decorated with a “2.”
  • Cake Batter Filled, filled with Cake Batter Kreme, dipped in yellow icing and decorated with a “2.”
  • Yellow Iced Original Glazed, the iconic Original Glazed Doughnut, dipped in yellow icing and decorated with a white icing drizzle.

Locally, the 2020 Graduate Dozen is available (while supplies last) at Krispy Kreme shops in Homewood (17815 S. Halsted St.), Evergreen Park (9150 S. Western Ave.), Hillside (110 S. Mannheim Rd.) and Chicago in Block 37 (108 N. State St.).
