A 21-year-old woman wasshot to death Tuesday afternoon on the Far South Side, police said.

Officers responded to a call of shots firedat1:12 p.m.and found Brandy M. Rogers with a gunshot wound to the chest inside a home in the 13200 block of South Langley, according to Chicago Police.

Rogerswas taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn, where she died at 3:23 p.m., police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office said. She lived in the block where she was shot.

Area South detectives were investigating.
