Man fatally shot in West Englewood: police

Detectives learned he was shot during an argument in the 1900 block of West 61st Street, police said.

A man was killed in a shooting Friday in West Englewood on the South Side.

The 35-year-old was dropped off at Holy Cross Hospital about 11:45 p.m. with a gunshot wound to the chest, according to Chicago police. He was pronounced dead.

Detectives later learned he was shot during an argument in the 1900 block of West 61st Street, police said. It was not immediately clear who brought him to the hospital.

The Cook County medical examiner’s office has not released details about the fatality.

No arrests have been reported, police said.
