Police found dozens of shell casings at the scene of a fatal shooting early Wednesday that left a woman dead in the Douglas neighborhood.

Around 2:40 a.m., Keisha Sullivan, 27, was found with a gunshot wound to her neck on the sidewalk at the intersection of 27th and State streets, Chicago police said.

She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. Dozens of shell casings were found by responding officers.

No one was in custody and Area 3 detectives are investigating.
