A man was shot and killed Tuesday in West Rogers Park on the North Side, according to police.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired about 9:16 p.m. in the 6400 block of North Campbell Avenue where they discovered the man in an alley, Chicago police said.

Marco Anthony Castillo Perez had a gunshot wound to his back and was pronounced dead on the scene, police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said. He lived in southwest suburban Bolingbrook.

An autopsy found Perez died of multiple gunshot wounds, the medical examiner’s office said. His death was ruled a homicide.

No arrests have been made as Area North detectives investigate.
