Teen found fatally shot in Ashburn

A teen boy was found shot to death Thursday in Ashburn on the Southwest Side.

Joseph Carrillo, 17, was found in a field about 4:40 p.m. in the 7500 block of South Lawndale Avenue, Chicago police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

He suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His death was ruled a homicide.

No arrests were reported.
