As they head to the finish line, Toni Preckwinkle raised $643,497.44 compared to Lori Lightfoot’s $497,433.23 during the week leading up to the final weekend of the campaign.

Lightfoot received $10,000 from former gubernatorial candidate Chris Kennedy, and $1,000 from former Gov. Pat Quinn. She also received $50,000 from Wicklow Capital President Dan Tierney and another $25,000 from director Stephen Schuler. Wicklow Capital is an investor in the cannabis industry.

Lightfoot also received $100,000 from Local 134 State & Municipal PAC, $50,000 from UA Political Education Committee,  $25,000 from the Chicago Journeyman Plumbers’ union, $22,750 from Midwest Construction PAC and $26,000 from LPAC, a Washington, D.C.-based political action committee supporting LGBTQ women.

Toni Preckwinkle received $100,000 from the Chicago Teachers Union, $55,000 from the Illinois Federation of Teachers Committee on Political Education, $27,220 from S.E.I.U. Local 73 B-PAC Account, $44,604.35 from SEIU Local No. 1, and another $30,000 from SEIU Healthcare IL/IN PAC. She also received $50,000 from I.U.O.E. Local 399 Political Education Fund and $25,000 from Teamsters Volunteers in Politics.  SEIU Local No. 1 and SEIU Healthcare are part of the investment group that owns the Chicago Sun-Times.

Frequent contributor Fred Eychaner, owner of Newsweb Corp. donated another $50,000 to Preckwinkle’s campaign. She also received $25,000 from Henry Crown executive Lester Crown; $5,000 from Chaz Ebert, widow of the late Chicago Sun-Times movie critic Roger Ebert; $3,000 from TV “Judge Mathis” host Gregory Mathis, and $1,500 from Tai Ginsberg & Associates LLC, a lobbying firm that represents Uber.
