On April 13, Andrew Poturalski and his wife Haley welcomed their first child, a son named Morrison John. The Poturalski family has taken to calling the newborn MoJo, and the Wolves haven’t lost a game he’s attended at Allstate Arena since he entered the world.
The Wolves’ game Sunday against Grand Rapids also was postponed.
The Wolves last played in Rosemont on March 8, 2020, and much has happened to the franchise since.

“There’s no future for minor-league sports with empty stadiums. There’s zero,” said Gary Green, who owns Triple-A and Double-A baseball teams and an expansion franchise in the United Soccer League.
The Wolves likely will begin affiliation with the Carolina Hurricanes for the 2020-21 season, but it’s unclear when that campaign will start.
The Wolves’ first parent club as an AHL team was the Atlanta Thrashers, who were run by current Carolina executive Don Waddell. During that time, the Wolves won two Calder Cup titles and had experienced players stick around.
Jon Sata, the Wolves’ senior vice president, partnerships & business development, said the franchise would be ready if this season restarted, but “most everything is pointed toward a start next season.”
The Raleigh News & Observer reported Wednesday that the Carolina Hurricanes and Wolves are set to join together on a year-to-year basis next season.
Though the pandemic stopped the season and Pirri’s latest shot in the NHL, he knows there are more important things happening in the world.
