The polls have closed and now after weeks of campaigning, vote tallies are rolling in.

Mayor Rahm Emanuel has beaten Jesus “Chuy” Garcia in the city’s first mayoral runoff since the city switched to non-partisan elections 20 years ago.

While that race has been decided, 18 aldermanic races also are at stake.
