State Sen. Kirk Dillard is about to concede the Republican gubernatorial primary to Bruce Rauner, his campaign manager told the Chicago Sun-Times at about 10:10 p.m.

Dillard avoided the blowout polls had predicted, but couldn’t wind up closing the gap against Rauner despite a huge crossover push by Democratic-aligned unions backing Dillard.
