The Arizona Wildcats men’s basketball team will honor former Farragut star Michael Wright with warmup tops emblazoned with Wright’s No. 2 prior to their game against Pacific on Friday.

Wright, a Chicago native who played for Arizona from 1998-2001, was found dead in his SUV on Tuesday in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was 35.

Police are treating Wright’s death as a homicide, though cause of death has yet to be determined.

Wright starred at Farragut Academy, where he shared the court with NBA legend Kevin Garnett.

He averaged more than 15 points per game in three seasons with the Wildcats and was a second-round pick of the Knicks 2001, though he never made the roster.

He was part of Arizona’s Final Four team in 2001.
