Death of 22-month-old Gary baby ruled homicide

(GARY, Ind.) The death of a 22-month-old baby Tuesday morning in northwest Indiana has been ruled a homicide.

Brandon Dillon was found in a bedroom in an apartment building in the 300 block of West 6th Avenue in Gary after employees of the building reported a “disturbance” about 11:45 a.m., according to police and the Lake County (Ind.) coroner’s office.

The boy, who lived at that address, was pronounced dead at 1:20 p.m., according to the coroner’s office.

The child suffered blunt force trauma, and his death has been ruled a homicide, according to the coroner’s office.
