Obviously, since Uma Thurman and Arpad Busson broke off their engagement earlier this year, things have gone from bad to worse. Now the wealthy French financier is suing the Oscar-nominated actress for custody of the former couple’s daughter.

Busson filed suit in New York’s Superior Court in Manhattan Tuesday, seeking an emergency order of custody for his little girl, Luna, who was born in July, 2012. Details of what is behind the filing are unknown, as the brief was sealed and neither spokespeople for Busson nor Thurman are talking, or making any kind of comment on the situation.

Thurman has two older children from her marriage to actor Ethan Hawke.
