Boy, 17, shot in Englewood

A 17-year-old boy was shot Friday night in the Englewood neighborhood on the South Side.

About 6:40 p.m., the teen was shot in the hip in the 6700 block of South Parnell, police News Affairs Officer Veejay Zala said.

The teen was taken to Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn where his condition had stabilized, Zala said.
