Kane County man killed in Algonquin motorcycle crash

(ALGONQUIN) A Kane County man died Sunday, two weeks after he was injured in a motorcycle crash in northwest suburban Algonquin.

David Leonard, 30, was hurt in the Sept. 22 crash near the intersection of Milbrook Drive and Corporate Parkway in Algonquin, the Cook County medical examiner’s office said.

Leonard, of the 100 block of Center Drive in Gilberts, was taken to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he died Sunday at 10:25 p.m., the medical examiner’s office said.

An autopsy Monday found he died of sepsis and multiple injuries from the crash and ruled his death an accident, the medical examiner’s office said.

Algonquin police had no immediate information on the crash Monday.
