(TINLEY PARK) A car being pursued by police officers crashed into a southwest suburban townhome early Tuesday.

The 1999 Oldsmobile Intrigue crashed into a townhome near 167th Street and Trail View Court at 3:54 a.m., Tinley Park Deputy Police Chief Lorelei Mason said.

The driver was fleeing from Markham police officers at the time of the crash, Mason said.

Tinley Park police issued 30-year-old Amalim C. Oniya of Chicago four traffic citations for leaving the scene of an accident, failing to give information, lane usage violations, and driving on a suspended license, Mason said.

Markham police could not immediately be reached for further details.

No one was injured, and the building sustained minimal damage, Mason said.
