With South Elgin’s Tyler Hankins on the shelf due to injury, Metea Valley’s Mark Konkle took every possible advantage of the vertically-challenged Storm on Friday.

“We game-planned for (Hankins) to be playing but I thought our team adjusted really well. When we saw that mismatch, they called my number a little bit,” Konkle said. “It was my job to step up.”
