Actor Mark Ruffalo — who also has made his Hollywood mark as a director, producer and writer — will be the grand marshal for the EnjoyIllinois.com 300 at Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet.

Currently seen in “Begin Again” with Keira Knightley, the Academy Award-nominated actor will be joined by City of Peace recording artist and aspiring actor Blake Rayne, who will sing the national anthem before of the race on Saturday.

Ruffalo is also a co-founder of The Solutions Project, an organization focused on using the combination of science, business and culture to accelerate the transition to 100 percent celan, renewable energy.

The Solutions Project is also partnering with ARCA driver Leilani Munter, who will be running the PrairieGold Solar Toyota in Saturday’s race.
