Q-and-A with Joliet Catholic’s Tyler Reitz

SHARE Q-and-A with Joliet Catholic’s Tyler Reitz

Everyone talks about Joliet Catholic running back Ty Isaac, but Isaac’s teammate, Reitz, is the leading rusher in the area with more than 300 yards in three games. Reitz, a former baseball player who has turned his attention to football, hasn’t decided on a college yet. Reitz is looking at Division II or III teams. He already has an offer from St. Francis and is interested in Ferris Sate and St. Cloud State.

How far do you want to take football?

I wouldn’t mind playing semipro ball after college. As long as I stay healthy.

Do you have any interesting hobbies you like to do when you have time?

I just like to hang out with groups of friends and go out to eat with people. I like being with a bigger group as opposed to just one or two people.

What actor would play you in your life story?

Maybe Adam Sandler, because he’s really funny. I like to be funny in school with a lot of my friends. Every movie he’s in are the ones I like.

Which is your favorite?

Pretty much all the ones he is in, but I really like “Click”, “Grown Ups”, ‘I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry.”

If you were in charge at Joliet Catholic, what would you change?

Maybe our uniform colors. We have white uniform polos and I’d want more colors to give us something different.

When you were growing up, what was the craziest thing you wanted to be?

I used to want to be an ice cream man, because I could eat any ice cream I wanted. I don’t know why I thought I would be able to make money off of that. Then I realized it wouldn’t work.
