Large pothole forces lane closure on I-55

(BOLINGBROOK) Two lanes of I-55 near southwest suburban Bolingbrook will be closed during the evening rush as crews work to fix a large pothole.

The right and center lanes of northbound I-55 will be closed over Joliet Road, near mile post 268, Illinois State Police said.

The emergency lane closure will allow crews to fix a large pothole that appeared in the center lane, police said. The lanes will remain closed until about 10 p.m., and motorists should expect delays.
