Man wounded in West Side drive-by

A man was wounded in a Humboldt Park neighborhood drive-by shooting on the West Side Friday evening.

The 20-year-old was outside about 7:25 p.m. in the 500 block of North Drake when someone opened fire from a passing gray SUV, police News Affairs Officer Bari Lemmon said.

He was shot in the buttocks and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.

The man has documented gang ties, according to police.
