UIC outshot by Cleveland State, falls 74-69

Anton Grady scored 18 points on 7-for-12 shooting and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead Cleveland State to a 74-69 win over Illinois-Chicago on Sunday.

Charlie Lee also had 18 points and fueled the breakaway run in the second half for Cleveland State (8-8, 2-0 Horizon League), which shot 59 percent from the floor and 6 of 12 from 3-point range. Marlin Mason added 12 points and Trey Lewis had 11 in the win.

Leading by four midway through the second, the Vikings took control with a 13-3 run that included a trio of 3-pointers from Lee, who also added a pair of free throws to make it 62-48 with 7:26 to go.

Marc Brown led UIC (5-12, 1-1) with 21 points and eight rebounds, while Jay Harris added 13 points and seven assists. The Flames controlled the glass 45-21 but shot just 38 percent.
