A man was shot Thursday afternoon in the South Side Englewood neighborhood.

The 22-year-old was standing with another person about noon in the 6800 block of South Damen when a vehicle drove up, and someone inside fired shots, police said.

The man was being treated at Advocate Christ Medical Center in Oak Lawn for a gunshot wound to the leg, police said. His condition was not known Thursday night.
