Randolph Street to close Wednesday in Loop

One block of a busy Loop street will be closed Wednesday through Sunday for removal of a construction crane.

Randolph Street will close between State and Dearborn beginning at 5 a.m. Wednesday and is expected to reopen Sunday, depending on the weather, according to the Chicago Department of Transportation.

Traffic on westbound Randolph will be detoured north on Wacker, west on Clark, and south back to Randolph.

The closure is to allow the safe removal of a construction crane that has been blocking a lane of traffic at Block 37.

Once the crane is safely removed, all lanes of Randolph will reopen.
