Man fatally shot in West Pullman Monday identified

A man who was shot to death Monday afternoon in the West Pullman neighborhood on the Far South Side has been identified.

At 2:25 p.m., officers responded to a call of shots fired in the 300 block of East 120th Street and found 23-year-old Mark Anthony Hayes unresponsive with a single gunshot wound to the arm and torso, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.

Hayes, of the first block of West Brayton Street, was pronounced dead at Stroger Hospital at 2:52 p.m. Monday, according to the medical examiner’s office.
