A man was wounded in an Uptown neighborhood drive-by shooting early Monday on the North Side.

Shortly after midnight, the 24-year-old was walking on the sidewalk in the 800 block of West Sunnyside when a gray car drove by and someone inside opened fire, according to Chicago Police.

The man was shot in the right leg and was taken to Weiss Memorial Hospital, where his condition was stabilized, police said.
