Bears waive Terrance Mitchell, promote Jacoby Glenn

Bears cornerback Terrance Mitchell, a preseason star who hasn’t had a similar impact during the regular season, was waived Tuesday. The Bears promoted cornerback Jacoby Glenn from the practice squad to take his place.

Mitchell could return to the Bears as a practice squad player.

Mitchell hadn’t appeared in a game since Week 5. He was inactive against the Lions and Vikings, and did not play against the Chargers and Rams.

Glenn, a rookie, is an undrafted free agent from Central Florida.
